The results of a 25 to 35 mile an hour "low-side" while wearing the following gear (click on any of the images for a larger view...that you could use as a wall paper I suppose...but why would you want too?):
Joe Rocket Phoenix Gloves:

As you can see the gloves (the left one anyway) came apart. To help illustrate the damage, I put the left glove on my right hand and stuck my fingers through the holes. What you can't see from the pictures, is that the "synthetic leather" and nylon when heated by the friction of running over the ground melted and fused together before tearing. This resulted in the fingers of the glove being stuck together.

The splint doesn't look too bad really...until you realize that it contains a compound fracture, a regular fracture, the dislocation of the joint between the Middle phalanx and the Distal phalanx, and a complete tearing of the tendons that join the Middle and Distal phalanx of the pinky.

Oh, yeah and that blood is fresh, its still bleeding after two days. It took two doctors, three nurses, a strong local sedative, a sheet (to cover my face) and a high powered water pick to clean out all the gravel, asphalt, and melted "synthetic leather" from the wound. I may never regain full function of that finger.

Very thin jeans (can't even call them Levi's they are so thin):

My legs fared much better than my left hand. Some road rash, I've had worse falling off my mountain bike. I'm also the first to admit I should have been wearing (at the very least real heavy duty jeans) something more protective than what I was wearing on my lower body.
Arai Signet Helmet:

The helmet worked to perfection. I didn't even end up with a headache. You can see some scaring on the top, the back, and the left side. The visor doesn't open easily anymore, but that is a small price to pay for no physical or mental damage.
Triumph Raptor Ventilated Jacket:

The jacket preformed flawlessly. Although, if you look closely you can see some wear and tear on the left elbow, the left front shoulder, and some blood on the right side. The blood came from my left hand and the wear on the left shoulder resulted in some road rash that looks more like a hickey than anything else.

The right elbow didn't fare as well being torn all the way through to the pad. There was no damage (other than a sprained wrist) to my right side, including the arm and elbow. The inside of the jacket didn't fare so well, the poloyester linning ripped up rather nicely for some reason on the left side.

The Wedding Ring:

My left hand was so swollen they had to cut the ring the off or risk losing the finger due to a lack of circulation. Neither my wife nor I are pleased
